Meet the Clinicians
Marcia Kennedy, LSCSW, LCP
I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (psychologist). I serve individuals and families located in Kansas, Oklahoma and internationally through telehealth. My training has prepared me to see adults and children. It is my goal to help remove barriers so that individuals and families can regulate their emotions and behavior and be able to thrive.
My work with children and families from “hard places” is trauma informed. I specialize in adoption-related issues with over 25 years of experience in domestic infant adoption, international adoption, and adoption through foster care.
My work is also focused on children’s attachment with their parents and on adult attachment issues. This is because attachment problems in childhood may affect your friendships and intimate relationships in adulthood and even with your adult children or an adult child with a parent. I want to give support, hope, and practical skills to address these issues. It is my goal to help strengthen families and individuals by supporting attachment and healing from trauma and loss.
I also provide assessment and psychological testing for a variety of issues to individuals and families, ranging in age from infancy through adulthood. It is often helpful for individuals, parents or other treatment professionals to have an in-depth look at all aspects of their child/client’s functioning to include cognitive ability, adaptive skills, personality and behavior.
